On December 16 at 19:00, the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre will be hosting a premiere of the Russian choral opera Boyarina Morozova by Rodion Shchedrin. The only performance will take place at the Chamber Hall of the Theatre on the composer’s birthday. The stage production of the opera will be presented by the Krasnoyarsk Choral Ensemble “Tebe poem”, directed by the Honoured Artist of Russia, Konstantin Yakobson, and artists of the Mariinsky Orchestra of the Primorsky Stage.
On 28 November, the Primorsky Stage Opera soloist Alena Diyanova made a successful Mariinsky Theatre debut in St Petersburg. She brilliantly performed the part of Senta in Richard Wagner’s De vliegende Hollander on stage of the Mariinsky-2 where she was partnered by Yevgeny Nikitin, Sergei Skorokhodov and Mikhail Petrenko.
One of the most renowned Japanese artists, internationally acclaimed Misa Kuranaga will perform the title part in Giselle at the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre (2 December). It will be the first performance of the Boston Ballet principal dancer in Vladivostok.
