Itaru Nada


  • 1st Prize and Gold Medal Winner at the X Yury Grigorovich “Young Ballet of the World” International Competition (Sochi, 2025)
  • Winner of the Yvan Kyrlya National Theatre Award in the Best Ballet Part category for his performance of the Empress’ Favorite in the ensemble of the principal dancers in Russian Hamlet ballet to the music by L. Beethoven and G. Mahler (2023)
  • Winner of the Yvan Kyrlya National Theatre Award in the Best Ballet Part category for his performance of the Jester in Love in Crystal Palace ballet by A. Shor (2022)
  • Winner of the Partnership Award Special Jury Prize at the VIII Yury Grigorovich “Young Ballet of the World” International Competition (Sochi, 2021)
  • Special Prize Winner at the Nara Ballet Competition (Japan, 2017)
  • 2nd Prize Winner at the All Japan Ballet Competition (2015)

Itaru Nada was born in Osaka.

He studied at the Art of Russian Ballet School (Kyoto, Japan) under Kenji Usui and Sayaka Yao. From 2016 to 2017, he studied at the Staatliche Ballettschule in Berlin, under Olaf Baum-Höfer. In 2020, he graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet (class of Alexey Viktorovich Ilyin).

In 2015, he was among the top 10 finalists at the Youth America Grand Prix (New York, USA).

Since 2021, he has been a leading soloist at the Erik Sapaev Mari State Opera and Ballet Theatre; in 2022, he became a principal dancer.

Since April 2026, Itaru Nada has been a soloist of the Ballet Company of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre.
