About the Concert

The musicians of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre offer the audience to be transported to France notwithstanding its closed borders. The program of the chamber music night C’est la vie (“Such is life”) includes vocal and instrumental compositions by famous French authors of the 19th and 20th centuries such as Ravel, Debussy, Saint-Saëns, Delibes, Fauré, Poulens, and Milhaud. Judges of music rarities have a chance to hear live Chausson’s piano trio, Fauré’s Myosotis, and Marais’s baroque variations on a Spanish dance La Folia. Legendary songs by Vladimir Cosma and Edit Piaf are to be played as a favor of the night.
