On 2 and 4 May, as a part of the Symphony Programme of the 16th Moscow Easter Festival, the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre will host concerts starring one of the most celebrated Korean pianists, winner of many prestigious musical competitions, Seng Jin Cho. The gifted musician will present a solo programme, as well as will perform with the Mariinsky Orchestra of the Primorsky Stage.
On 24, 25 and 26 March, the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre will for the first time present George Balanchine’s one-act ballets The Prodigal Son, Scotch Symphony, Serenade and Apollo, the premiere of which is timed to mark the 135th anniversary of Igor Stravinsky’s birthday. The four productions will be the first ballet premieres of the Primorsky Stage this year.
