Act I
Scene 1
Three friends: Romeo, Mercutio, and Benvolio.

The town awakens.

Conflict among the townspeople.

The Duke: reconciliation of the townspeople.

Juliet’s nurse.

Scene 6
Juliet
Juliet’s parents introduce her to Count Paris.

Guests arrive for the feast at the Capulets’ house.

Romeo, Mercutio, and Benvolio enter the Capulets’ house for the feast.

Feast at the Capulets’ house: engagement of Juliet and Count Paris.

Romeo and Juliet first meet.

Tybalt recognizes Romeo.

Departure of the guests.

Juliet “submits” to her parents’ will, giving a fake consent to marry Count Paris.

Juliet alone.
Juliet takes the potion.

The next morning: the day scheduled for Juliet’s wedding to Count Paris.
Those present believe Juliet to be dead.

The Montague family crypt.
Juliet’s funeral.

The death of Romeo and Juliet.
