In the name of science, a princess sets off on an expedition to a neighboring kingdom. In a foreign forest, she encounters the local flora and fauna, and meets a whimsical prince who has lost his way after running away from home. The brave girl rescues the fugitive, ending his misadventures, and brings him back to the palace, where she has to stay the night because of a major thunderstorm. The prince is overjoyed, because he has already fallen head over heels in love by then; however, not all the inhabitants of the castle are as happy to welcome her. The princess and the palace hosts face a challenging night, after which nothing and no one will ever be the same.
