On May 28, 2022 Leonid Klinichev’s opera The Little Prince will be performed as a part of the program “Mariinsky – for children” in the Chamber Hall of the Primorsky Stage. This event is supported by the Primorsky Region Administration; it has been timed to coincide with the International Children’s Day and arranged to be performed for inmates of orphanages, children’s houses or residential care facilities, welfare children and juvenile members of service families in the Primorsky Region.
The opera is based on the world-known fairy novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and tells us simple stories of each hero, which turn into a part of something more, something that has a connotation of fireside comfort and peace. The musical translation of the famous novel satisfies the ear with its melodiousness, plainness and simultaneous profundity. The opera narrates the most important life values and is perfectly fit for acquainting children with the opera world.
The public will surely have a good time on May 28, 2022, enjoying the performance of soloists of the Primorsky Stage Opera such as Olga Zharikova, Irina Kolodyazhnaya, Olga Maslova, Gennady Akhmedov, Vladimir Volkov, Yevgeny Mizin, Dmitry Nelasov, Alexei Smirnov and the student of the Vocal Department of the Far Eastern State Institute of Arts, Alena Denisenko. The piano part will be performed by Yevgenia Akishina, an accompanist with the opera company of the Primorsky Stage.
