On November 29, 2020 Mazepa had a great success in concert performance at the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre. The primary role of the Hetman Mazepa was sung by Edem Umerov, a soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre, Saint Petersburg. On the stage there also appeared such soloists of the Primorsky Stage as Sergei Pleshivtsev, Laura Bustamante, Elena Razgulyaeva, Alexei Kostyuk, Yevgeny Plekhanov, Ilya Astafurov, and Yevgeny Mizin. The Mariinsky Orchestra of the Primorsky Stage was under the baton of Pavel Smelkov, the Principal Conductor. The Russian Navy Pacific Fleet Orchestra took part in the show.
In Vladivostok Mazepa was first staged by Daria Panteleeva with Anton Lubchenko as an Art Director and Principal Conductor at the Primorsky Opera and Ballet Theatre in June 2015. The opera was only performed twice. This year the opera was shown at the Primorsky Stage in concert performance dedicated to 180 years since the birth of Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
