Within the framework of the III International Mariinsky Far East Festival in Vladivostok, Alexandra Dovgan will perform twice on the Primorsky Stage.
On August 3, 2018 at 07.00 p.m. the pianist, accompanied by the Mariinsky Orchestra of the Primorsky Stage under the direction of Anton Shaburov, will perform the Piano Concerto No. 1 by Felix Mendelssohn. Alexandra Dovgan performed this Concerto at the trial hearing of the International Grand Piano Competition. Also Felix Mendelssohn’s concert overture Die Hebriden oder Die Fingalshöhle will be performed. The evening will be continued by Symphonie fantastique by Hector Berlioz. An hour before the start of the concert, the guests will be able to visit the Scenic Introduction lecture where musicologist Natalia Rogudeeva will tell about the masterpieces and their authors.
On August 5, 2018 at 01:00 p.m. a solo concert of Alexandra Dovgan will take place at the Chamber Hall of the Primorsky Stage. The young pianist will perform compositions of classical and contemporary authors. The program includes the works of François Couperin, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Sergei Prokofiev, Johann Sebastian Bach, Marc-André Hamelin, Frédéric Chopin, Moritz Moszkowski and Sergei Bortkiewicz.
Alexandra Dovgan was born in 2007. Despite her young age, she has already become a winner of the Villahermosa Internet Contest (Mexico, 2014), the International Ural Prokofiev Competition (Yekaterinburg, 2015), the International Safonov Young Pianists Competition (Pyatigorsk, 2015), the All-Russian Music Talents Internet Contest (2015), the International Nutcracker Television Contest (Moscow, 2017), the Vladimir Krainev Moscow International Piano Competition (Moscow, 2017) and the International Astana Piano Passion Competition (2017). She received the Grand Prix at the 2018 International Grand Piano Competition. Today, Alexandra Dovgan receives scholarships from the New Names Foundation, the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation, and the Mstislav Rostropovich Foundation. In June 2018, Alexandra Dovgan performed twice at the XXVI Stars of the White Nights Festival.
