“Figaro qua, Figaro là”: After the opera premiere, artists met with the audience at the Primorsky Stage

On August 1, 2022, after Le nozze di Figaro was premiered as a part of the VII International Mariinsky Far East Festival, Vladivostok, the meeting with the audience was held in the atrium of the Primorsky Stage.

The audience put questions to Irina Soboleva, Artistic Director of the Opera Company of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre, Justus Frantz, a world-renowned pianist and conductor, Larisa Larionova, an opera accompanist of the Mariinsky Theatre, and the soloists of the Mariinsky Theatre who had performed the primary parts such as Vadim Kravets, Yekaterina Solovyova, Vladimir Moroz, and Anna Denisova.

The Artistic Director of the Opera Company of the Primorsky Stage expressed her joy of having at last carried out such long-awaited project as the premiere of Le nozze di Figaro at the Primorsky Stage.

“I am so glad to be here, in Russia; I like this country and this culture. We expect the Ninth Symphony by Beethoven to be performed here, which Symphony I have recently conducted in Saint Petersburg. I believe that it is very timely nowadays because the idea of its finale is the phrase “all men are brothers”. […] I am sure that it is culture that should always be a bridge connecting the hearts of peoples despite everything,” maestro Frantz emphasized.
