The baton was held by maestro Valery Gergiev.

Vyacheslav Vasilyev’s first appearance at the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg took place in May 2018, when the soloist successfully debuted as Giorgio Germont in Giuseppe Verdi’s La traviata.

In May 2019, when the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre was on tour, Vyacheslav Vasilyev performed the role of Grigory Gryaznoi in Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tsar’s Bride at the Zaryadye Concert Hall in Moscow and at the New Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg.
