From August 3, 2021 to August 15, 2021 the Ballet Company of the Primorsky Stage will traditionally tour in Saint Petersburg.
For some years, in mid-winter and late in summer, the dancers of the Primorsky Stage represent their versions of popular ballets in Saint Petersburg. During the previous tour the ballet company received recognition from the public and was highly appreciated by critics.
During this tour the four ballets will be performed: the three classic ones (including Le Corsaire, The Sleeping Beauty and Giselle) and A Thousand and One Nights choreographed by Eldar Aliev, an Artistic Director of the Ballet Company.
When A Thousand and One Nights is performed, the Mariinsky Orchestra will be conducted by Ayyub Guliyev, an Honored Artist of Azerbaijan and a Principal Conductor and a Music Director of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. During the other performances the baton will be held by Anton Torbeev, a conductor of the Primorsky Stage and an award winner at international competitions.
All the ballets will be performed on the Historic Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre and at the Mariinsky II.
