On August 4, 2018 at 20:00 on the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre Salome opera will be performed as a concert. The opera stars Elena Stikhina, a soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre and the Primorsky Stage. It was the part of Salome which she brightly sang in the premiere in Saint Petersburg in 2017. The famous bass-baritone Evgeny Nikitin will sing Jochanaan; Andrey Popov will appear as Herodes and Olga Savova as Herodias. The Mariinsky Symphony Orchestra will be under the baton of Valery Gergiev.
You will also be able to see Elena Stikhina in The Queen of Spades opera by Pyotr Tchaikovsky on the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre on August 8, 2018. She will sing the part of Liza. On August 5, 2018 Evgeny Nikitin will appear as Kurwenal in Tristan and Isolde opera by Richard Wagner, staged by Dmitry Chernyakov. The orchestra will be under the baton of Valery Gergiev.
