The Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre Hosted a series of master-classes

On November 18 and 19 Vladivostok for the first time hosted a series of events organized as a part of the project: Valery Gergiev's Arts Centres for Young Talents of Russia, which included master classes in choral conducting, violin and flute held at the Primorsky Stage of Mariinsky Theatre.

The project Valery Gergiev's Arts Centres for Young Talents of Russia is implemented by the Mariinsky Theatre with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and covers European Russia, Siberia and the Far East.

The Project is aimed at preservation of Russian cultural heritage, development and promotion of education in the sphere of culture and arts in the regions, finding and fostering gifted children. Valery Gergiev on many occasions stressed high importance of work with young talents. The project Valery Gergiev's Arts Centres for Young Talents of Russia is a continuation of educational and information programmes of the Mariinsky Theatre.

In Vladivostok, master-classes were given by the Mariinsky Children’s Chorus Master Dmitry Ralko, the Mariinsky Symphony Orchestra artist Andrei Tyan (violin) and the leader of the flute section of the Mariinsky Orchestra of the Primorsky Stage Orest Severin (flute).
