On August 10, the press conference for the closing of the I International Mariinsky Far East Festival concluded with the Artistic Director of the Festival Valery Gergiev and the Artistic Director of the PyeongChang Music Festival & School Ms. Myung-Wha Chung signing of the cooperation agreement.
This agreement will provide active creative interaction between the two festivals, exchange of participants, as well as joint activities to promote the classical music art in the Asia-Pacific Region. Festivals-partners have also agreed to join forces in the development of music education. PyeongChang Music Festival & School is one of the most renowned international music festivals. Every year in July and August, the world-famous musicians gather in a suburb of the South Korean city of Pyeongchang to participate in this forum.
