Maksim Shteinberg was born in Vladivostok.
In 1994 he graduated from the Vladivostok Art School (nowadays – the Primorsky Regional Art College) with a degree in Painting. From 1994 until 1995 he studied at the Babi Badalov Studio in Saint Petersburg. In 1995 he participated in the first exhibition at Gallery 103 in Saint Petersburg.
From 1996 until 2000 Maksim Shteinberg was engaged in art practice in the Netherlands. From 2001 until 2008 he worked as an artist at “World and Culture” Creative Centre in Moscow. Since 2009 to the present time, he has been a freelance artist.
