Zinaida Tsarenko was born in Khabarovsk. In 2020 she graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov St Petersburg State Conservatory (class of Olga Kondina).
In 2021 she became a fellow of the Atkins Young Artists Program at the Mariinsky Theatre. In 2016 Zinaida made her debut at the theatre, appearing in a concert by students of Olga Kondina and Vladimir Vaneyev; in 2022 she took part for the first time in a Mariinsky Theatre opera performance, singing the role of Olga in Eugene Onegin (chamber version).
