Praskovia Gerasimova was born in Yakutsk. For 5 years she studied the piano at the School of Arts, then continued her music education by studying for two years at the Vocal Department of the Music Collage.
She also graduated from the Vocal Department of the Sakha Republic V.A. Bosikov Higher School of Music (class of the Honoured Artist of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) P.A. Krivoshapkin).
Completed a postgraduate study at the Ural Mussorgsky State Conservatory (class of the People’s Artist of Russia, prof. N.N. Golyshev). She is associate professor at the Higher School of Music (Yakutsk).
Being on a tour, she performed the parts of Yaroslavna (Prince Igor by A. Borodin) and Aida (Aida by G. Verdi) in St Petersburg (The Mariinsky Theatre), Moscow (the Bolshoi Theatre), Minsk (the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus), Vilnius, Kaunas, Kaliningrad (the Yantar Hall), Nizhny-Novgorod, Smolensk, Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Birobidzhan).
