  • Grand Prix winner at “The Binding Thread of Times” International Competition (Moscow, 2023)
  • Prize-winner at the 50th All-Russian Competition of Vocalists – Graduates of Music Universities (Saint Petersburg, 2022)
  • First Prize winner at the IV “Great Silk Road. Dialogue of Cultures” International Eurasian Festival (Saint Petersburg, 2020)

Zhang Mengwen was born in China. In 2017 she entered the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (class of Prof. Pyotr Sergeevich Glubokiy, People’s Artist of Russia).

In 2022, she trained as an assistant at the Moscow Conservatory (class of Prof. Klara Grigorievna Kadinskaya, Honored Artist of the Russian SFSR). In November 2022 she continued her postgraduate studies at the Conservatory (supervisor – Prof. Elena Borisovna Dolinskaya, Honored Art Worker of Russia).

In January 2022 Zhang Mengwen made her debut as Musetta in La bohème at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. In 2024 she performed Violetta’s part in La traviata at the same Great Hall of the Conservatory.

In 2024 Zhang Mengwen participated in the Young Artists Opera Programme of the Bolshoi Theatre.

In 2026 she performed the role of the Queen of the Night at the Chamber Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre.
