In 2018, Valentin Kolesnikov graduated from the Dostoevsky Omsk State University, Faculty of Culture and Arts (Acting Department, class of Prof. I.B. Trusova, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation). In 2015, he completed an internship with the Academia della lirica Italiana (Bari, Italy).
Since 2016, he has been a guest soloist with the Omsk Philharmonic. From 2017 to 2020, he was a leading soloist with the Omsk Musical Theatre.
Since 2020, he has been a soloist with the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
He is a guest soloist with the Buryat State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after G.Ts. Tsydynzhapov (performing the part of Vladimir Igorevich in A. Borodin’s opera Prince Igor).
In 2022, at the Kolokola Festival in Krasnoyarsk, he performed the part of Tsar Berendey in a concert performance of The Snow Maiden opera by N. Rimsky-Korsakov. During the tour to the Bolshoi Theatre in 2022, he performed the part of Gérald in Lakmé by L. Delibes. At the Helikon-Opera, he performed the part of Ivan Koltso in A. Tchaikovsky’s Yermak.
During the tour of the opera company at the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre, he performed the parts of Count Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia and Gérald in Lakmé. At the Sirius Concert Hall, he also performed the part of Gérald in Lakmé by L. Delibes.
He has worked together with such conductors as Peter Feranec, Felix Korobov, Alexander Rudin, Dmitri Jurowski, Mikhail Tatarnikov, Mikhail Granovsky, Ilmar Lapinsh, Arif Dadashev, Andrei Anikhanov, Artyom Makarov, Timur Zangiev, Marius Stravinsky, Eldar Nagiev, Mikhail Leontiev, Filippo Dessi, Vladimir Rylov, and Li Haoran. He has also worked with stage directors Sergei Novikov, Daniil Dmitriev, Elizaveta Korneeva, and Irina Lychagina.
