Azat Malik graduated from the Kazangap Music College in Kyzylorda in 2012, and from the Kazakh National University of Arts in 2016. He holds a Master’s Degree in Art History (2017-2019), and a Master’s Degree in Opera from the Ferenc Liszt Hungarian National Academy of Music (Budapest, 2018-2021). He took a course at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory (Rome, Italy, 2013), and at the International Opera Academy “Astana Opera” (2021-2023).

In 2017 Azat Malik took part in Rossiya-Kultura TV’s project “Grand Opera” in Moscow.

He is a soloist of the Hungarian State Opera House and a guest soloist at the Dubai Opera.

Azat Malik has appeared on the stage in Turin (Vittorio Alfieri Theater), Milan (Auditorium), Rome (Paul VI Audience Hall; Santa Cecilia Conservatory Concert Hall), Florence (Verdi Theater), Berlin (Berlin Philharmonic), Munich (Bavarian Philharmonic), Vienna (Austria), Maribor (Slovenia), Paris and Nice (France), Beograd (Serbia), and Ankara and Istanbul (Turkey). He has also performed in Hungary (Pécs Opera Theater; Miskolc Opera Theater; Ferenc Liszt Academy Great Hall in Budapest) and Saint Petersburg (Mariinsky Theatre).

In 2024 Azat Malik took part in the opening of the Hungarian State Opera House’s 100^th anniversary season where he appeared as the first Premier of the People’s Republic of China Zhou Enlai in Nixon in China. In 2026 he opened the new season at the Dubai Opera, appearing in Puccini’s La bohème where he performed the roles of Schaunard and Marcello.
