Ziinel Zaitov was born in Nukus (Republic of Uzbekistan). In 2015 he graduated from the Rostov State Rachmaninoff Conservatoire (class of Professor Mikhail Nikolaevich Shcherbakov).
Since 2013 Ziinel Zaitov has been a regular member of the all-Russian Youth Orchestra conducted by Yuri Bashmet.
In 2012 he was engaged by the Rostov Academic Symphony Orchestra, where since 2014 he has been an Assistant Principal cello.
Ziinel Zaitov has participated in master classes given by Alexei Massarsky, Alexey Seleznyov, Alexandre Bouzlov, and Alexey Stadler.
Since September 2015 he has been working at the Symphony Orchestra of the Primorsky Opera and Ballet Theatre. Since 2016 he has been an Assistant Principal cello at the Mariinsky Orchestra of the Primorsky Stage. Since December 2023 he has been Principal cello at the Mariinsky Orchestra of the Primorsky Stage.
