Evgeny Bystrov was born in Yekaterinburg.
In 2008 he completed his double-bass studies at the Urals Specialized Music College (class of V.N. Bystrov). In 2013 he graduated from the Urals Mussorgsky State Conservatoire (class of D.G. Usanov).
From 2008 to 2011 Evgeny Bystrov was a member of the Ural Youth Symphony Orchestra. In 2012 he engaged in teaching at the Urals Specialized Music College. From 2011 to 2015 he was a member of the Ural Philharmonic Orchestra.
In 2015 Evgeny Bystrov became a member of the Primorsky Opera and Ballet Theatre Symphony Orchestra. From 2016 he has been employed as an Assistant Principal double-bass at the Mariinsky Orchestra of the Primorsky Stage.
In 2017 he toured as a guest Principal double-bass in Singapore together with the Sichuan Symphony Orchestra.
From 2021 to date, Evgeny Bystrov has been a double-bass teacher at the Far Eastern State Institute of Art. From 2021 he has been also employed as the Head of the Department of Orchestral String Instruments and a double-bass teacher at the Primorsky Branch of the Central Music School – Academy of Performing Arts.
