Tinghong is a student at Shantou Zhonghe Middle Special Music School in the class of Prof. N. Burtsev. At the age of nine he became the 3rd prize winner of the Pearl River Kayserburg National Youth Piano Competition in China. At the age of ten he became the 1st prize winner of the Ⅸ International Frederick Chopin competition for Young Pianists in China. At the age of eleven he became the 2nd prize winner of The 10th International Competition of Young Pianists A step towards mastery in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 2016, he became a prizewinner at the I International Grand Piano Competition in Moscow.
In his spare time Tinghong draws, studies English, enjoys swimming and arranges private concerts with his classmates.
