His international debut was in 2004 when Tae-Hyung Kim became the first Korean to win the 1st prize and a special prize for the best interpretation of Beethoven’s sonata at the International Piano Competition in Porto (Portugal). Awards from other prestigious competitions soon followed, including: Interlaaken Classics in Bern, Switzerland (2008), Grand Prix Animato in Paris (2008), Queen Elizabeth Competition in Brussels (2010). In 2013 he received the 1st prize and People’s Choice Award at the Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition (England).

Tae-Hyung Kim studied at the Korean National University of Arts, Munich School of Music and Theatre and two years — at the Moscow Conservatory (class of People’s Artist of the USSR Eliso Virsaladze).

Virtuoso pianist performs solo recitals and appears with orchestras at the most prestigious concert venues of the world.
