Omar Bayramov was born in Mariupol, Ukraine. He started his musical education at the age of 12 under direction of Maria Geister. In 1998 he became a student of the M.P. Mussorgsky St Petersburg Musical College (class of Lev Fishkov). Graduated from the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov St Petersburg State Conservatory, where his teachers were Anatoly Nikitin and Svyatoslav Zagursky. In 2009, he was among three students who were accepted into the International Menuhin Music Academy (class of Frans Helmerson).

Have attended master-classes by Christoph Richter, Pablo de Naveran, Xenia Jankovic, Neil Brown, Martti Rousi, Ivan Monighetti.

Omar Bayramov have worked in a number of symphony orchestras: St Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra (2000-2007), where he worked as second leader of the cello section; the Orchestra of the St Petersburg State Opera and Ballet Theatre (2005-2009); the St Petersburg State Academic Capella (2007-2008); in the Mikhailovsky Theatre (2008–2009). From 2002 — a solo cello player at the Baltica Youth Chamber Orchestra (St Petersburg). In 2006–2009 — a soloist of the Musica Antiqua Russica Ensemble. В 2009–2011 гг. — leader of the cello section of the Camerata Yehudi Menuhin. In 2011–2012 — a solo cello player with the Soloists of Catherine the Great Ensemble. In 2011–2012 — a solo cello player of the Prattica Terza Chamber Music Ensemble.

In 2000 Omar Bayramov took part in the International Peter de Grote Festival (Groningen, the Netherlands), and in 2011 — in the International Yehudi Menuhin Festival (Gstaad, Switzerland).

In 2013 he was engaged by the Symphony Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre (St Petersburg) as first deputy leader of the cello section, and since 2016 he has been the cello section leader.
