Ms. Tymchenko is a graduate of the National Conservatory of Bulgaria and the Mariinsky Theater’s Young Singers’ Academy. She has studied under the guidance of Konstanza Vachkova since 2002 and, as of late, of celebrated soprano Virginia Zeani. In the 2002–2003 season she appeared at the Kharkov Theatre of Opera and Ballet. From 2004 she was a soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers, making her Mariinsky Theatre debut as Elvira (Don Giovanni). In 2007 Nataliya Tymchenko joined the Mariinsky Opera Company.

Her repertoire encompasses a wide and versatile arrange of many other most demanding staples of the lyric and spinto repertoires, including roles such as Emma in Mussorgsky’s Khovanschina, Elisabeth de Valois (Don Carlo), Desdemona (Otello), Maddalena (Andrea Chénier), Manon (Manon Lescaut), Mimì (La bohème), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Angelica (Suor Angelica) .

Ms. Tymchenko has appeared as a guest in many of the world’s most prestigious stages, including Washington’s Kenney Center, New York’s Carnegie Hall, the Gran Teatro del Liceu in Barcelona, London’s Barbican Hall, Vienna’s Theater an der Wien, Opera de Marseille, NHK Hall in Tokyo, the Moscow Philharmonic and the Baden-Baden Festspielhaus. Equally at home on the concert stage, she has appeared on numerous concerts, often times opposite world-renowned dramatic tenor Vladimir Galouzine. Upcoming appearances of the young Ukranian soprano include her role debut as Desdemona in Verdi’s Otello and Carmen at the Mariinsky Theater, as Emma in Mussorgsky’s Khovanshina at the Theatre de Bastille in Paris,as Madama Butterfly at the Novosibirsk opera house.
Ms. Tymchenko currently resides in France.
