Born in Kobe. He started playing the oboe at the age of 12. During his study at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, he won the 1st prize at the International Arts Competition for Junior (1995), and the Japan Music Competition (2000).
After the graduation, he was invited to be the assistant concertmaster of the prestigious Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra.
He also appears as a soloist to perform with the orchestra such as Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Solisten and the Seto Philharmonic.
He is also a member of the Ensemble Contemporary, and teaches at the Showa Music University and the Senzoku Music University.
