Greatly admired among today’s young pianists, Dasol Kim has performed internationally as soloist with the celebrated New York Philharmonic, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Konzerthaus Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, and among many others.
Winner of the 2015 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, Mr. Kim will make recital debuts in Washington, DC, sponsored by the Korean Concert Society Prize, and in New York. Other accolades include First Prize in the 2010 Young Concert Artists European Auditions, First Prize in the 2011 Epinal International Piano Competition in France, Second Prize in the 2012 Géza Anda Competition in Zurich, and Third Prize at the 2011 ARD International Music Competition in Munich.
He graduated from the Hannover Music School in Germany, where he studied with Arie Vardi and Gerald Fauth. His debut CD, “Dasol Kim Plays Schumann,” was released in May 2015 on the Universal Music Korea label.
