Began playing piano at the age of five. Has studied with Professor Hua Chang at the Middle School of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. Currently studies at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania under Meng-Chieh Liu. Participated in master classes with Robert McDonald, Sergei Babayan, Klause Baessler, Andrea Bonatta and Maxim Mogilevsky.
In 2010 he won the Grand Prix at the Helen Cup Shanghai International Piano Competition. 2nd prize winner at the VII Beijing International Music Festival. He attended the Philadelphia Young Pianists’ Academy and the Sejong International Music Festival. In June 2019 he was awarded the 4th prize at the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition.
