Conductor

Recipient of the 1^st prize at the IV Ilya Musin International Competition of young conductors of symphonic and chamber orchestras (2016)

Vitaly Shevelev was born in the village of Bely Ruchey, Vytegorsky District, Vologda Region.

He graduated from the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory in 2017 (class of Professor Alexander Titov).

In 2017–2020 Vitaly Shevelev had been a conductor at the G. Tsydynzhapov Buryat State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Since November 2020 he has been a conductor of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre.
