Mikica Jevtić was born in Horb-am-Neckar (Germany). In 2003 he graduated from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kiev, where he has been studying conducting with Professor Allin Vlasenko and accordion with Professor Pavel Fenjuk.
From 2001 to 2003 he was engaged as the conductor of the Dnepropetrovsk Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Dnepropetrovsk Opera and Ballet Theatre (Ukraine). As the conductor of the Kiev Music School String Orchestra, he travelled with concerts to Spain, Poland, Germany and Portugal. He has also made numerous concert appearances with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine.
Since 2005, he has been employed as the conductor of the Šabac High Music School and in 2011 he became the house conductor of the Serbian National Theater Orchestra in Novi Sad (Serbia).
He also works with the Institute for Culture of Vojvodina and collaborates with the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, the Zrenjanin Chamber Orchestra and the contemporary music ensemble “2K +”, promoting works of the local composers.
In 2006, Mikica Jevtić won the first prize at the Stefan Turchak International Conductors Competition in Kiev.
