In 1998 graduated from the St Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory (class of the Honored Artist of Russia, prof. A. Dogadin).
In 1999–2003 worked in the orchestra of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre.
In 2001–2003 worked in the orchestra of the Moscow Helicon-Opera Music Theatre.
In 2003–2013 worked in the Orchestra of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia.
Aleksander Avidzba played under such conductors as I. Musin, G. Rozhdestvensky, M. Jansons, Y. Temirkanov, V. Gergiev.
Since 2013 — the principal viola of the Primorsky State State Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Since 2015 — the director of the Orchestra of the Primorsky Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Since 2016 — the director of the Mariinsky Orchestra of the Primorsky Stage.
