Jacob Sparso


Choreographer-director
A native of Copenhagen, Denmark, Jacob Sparso received his training at The Royal Danish Ballet, and made his debut at the age of ten.

He has been a principal dancer with Dallas Ballet, Royal Ballet of Flanders in Belgium, Baltimore Ballet, and Oklahoma City Ballet. He has appeared as a guest artist with Les Ballet Trockadero de Monto Carlo, for five years on its Japan tours.

His dancing has taken him to England, Germany, turkey, Greece, Russia, Holland, China, Japan, Denmark, and throughout the United States.

Mr Sparso has staged ballets for Flemming Flindt, former director of The Royal Danish Ballet and Dallas Ballet, including The Three Musketeers for Komisch Opera Ballet in Berlin, and Phaedra for Ballet San Jose in California, and Ballet International in Indianapolis.

Mr Sparso have had the honor to meet and dance for the king and queen of Belgium, at a gala performance, and the Queen and Prince of Denmark, for their twentieth anniversary gala.

Mr Sparso has created ballets for Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Dallas Ballet, Ballet Nouveau Colorado, Turtle Creek Choral Society, Oklahoma City Ballet, and was ballet master for Oklahoma City Ballet for eight years.

For the last twenty four years, Oklahoma City has been home to Mr Sparso.
