Kazuhisa Hiyama studied classical dance under Asako and Izuko Wada and modern dance - under Yuko Tanaka. He graduated from the Faculty of Letters of the Keio University with specialisation in the history of esthetics and fine art.
In 2009, at the 66th Japan Ballet Competition, K. Hiyama won First Prize in the category of modern dance, performing The Bare Room (the production by Hanako Yamaguchi). In 2011, he joined the Tani Momoko Ballet. Kazuhisa made his debut as the company soloist by dancing the part of Siegfried in Swan Lake.Then he performed a number of leading parts from classical and modern repertoire, including the The Snow King from The Nutcracker, Silvio from Pagliacci (the production of Noriko Ito), Albrecht from Giselle, Conrad from Le Corsaire (revised version by E. Aliev), Prince Desire from Sleeping Beauty (revised version by E. Aliev), Romeo from Romeo and Juliet, as well as the leading part in La Vie de Paquita (Emico Hiharo’s production).
