Gulshan Konusheva graduated from the Central Secondary Special Music School at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (class of G.M. Karieva and M.S. Volchok, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation). She pursued her studies under Prof. M.L. Mezhlumov at the Conservatory. She also holds a degree from the Kyrgyz National Conservatory where she was a student of Prof. Z.A. Narynbaeva, Honored Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, and trained through her probation assistantship as well.
She has been an accompanist in the flute class at the Department of Brass Instruments and in the solo singing class at the Kyrgyz National Conservatory, and an accompanist with the opera company of Astana Opera.
Gulshan Konusheva has appeared as a soloist and accompanist in various cities in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Belarus, as well as in Poland and Israel. She has collaborated with such conductors as Ayyub Guliyev, Gerardo Colella, Szymon Bywalec, and Fabio Mastrangelo.
She has taken part in productions of the Kazakh opera Kalkaman-Mamyr directed by Yu. Alexandrov, A. Vivaldi’s Orlando furioso directed by A. Simonishvili and G. Verdi’s Il trovatore directed by M. Pandzhavidze.
Gulshan Konusheva is awarded the State Prize of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic for youth, and the medal “Excellence in Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic”.
Since November 2024 she has been an accompanist at the Opera Company of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre.
