  • Prize-winner of Citta di Cantu 26th International Piano and Orchestra Competition (1st prize, Cantu, Italy, 2016)
  • Prize-winner of the 2nd Shigeru Kawai International Piano Competition (1st prize, Japan, 2018)

Andrei Shychko was born in Bobruisk (Belarus). In 2013 graduated from Republican Music College, Minsk, Belarus (class of Natalia Tashchylina). In 2014, he have studied in Belarusian State Academy of Music (class of Natalia Tashchylina). Until 2018, he was a student of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Russia) in the class of professor, People Artist of Russia Mikhail Voskresensky. In 2018–2020 have studied in Trainee Assistance in Moscow Tchaikovsky conservatory, also under Mikhail Voskresensky.

Pianist performs solo, in chamber ansambles, with choirs and orchestras in Russia, Belarus, Japan, Germany, France. He was the accompanist of the choir of the Russian University of Transport (MIIT) and the choir of the Central House of Scientists.

Winner of the grant from the Special Fund by President of the Republic of Belarus for supporting talented youth (2007, 2010, 2014). In December 2015 participated in the festival Faces of modern pianism at the Mariinsky Theatre (St Petersburg, Russia).

Since July 2023 he has been an accompanist of Ballet Company of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre.
