Aygiz Gizatullin was born in the village of Starosubkhangulovo, Republic of Bashkortostan.

In 2003, he graduated from the Ufa College of Arts, majoring in Vocal Performance (class of Nailya Gabdelkhaevna Yusupova). In 2009, he graduated from the N.G. Zhiganov Kazan State Conservatory (class of Prof. Yuri Vladimirovich Borisenko, People’s Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan).

In 2009–2013, he was employed as soloist of the Kh. Akhmetov Bashkir State Philharmonic (Ufa). From 2013 to 2016, he was a soloist of the Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. Since 2016, he has been a leading soloist of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre, and since 2021, a guest soloist of the P.I. Tchaikovsky Udmurt Republic State Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Since 2019, he has also worked as a vocal coach at the Ufa College of Arts.

He was involved in the performances nominated for the Golden Mask National Theatre Award in Moscow (in 2016, as a soloist of the Opera Company of the Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre in The Queen of Spades; in 2017, as a soloist of the Opera Company of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre in The Maid of Orleans).

In 2022, he made his debut at the St Petersburg Opera Theatre in the part of Sparafucile in Rigoletto by G. Verdi. In 2023, he appeared on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow during the tour of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre in the part of the Sea King from N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera Sadko.

Since August 2025, Aygiz Gizatullin has been a soloist of the Opera Company of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre.
