Milana Filimonova was born in Kirov. She graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in 2022. Her teachers at the Academy included Tatiana Valerievna Solomyanko, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, Elena Gennadievna Poryvkina, and Irina Sitnikova.
Since July 2022, Milana Filimonova has been an artist of the Ballet Company of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre.
