Cristian Ponder is from Houston, Texas, United States. He trained at Vitacca Ballet School from 2019–2023, the European School of Ballet in Amsterdam from 2023–2025, and was an exchange student at Canada's National Ballet School in 2024.
Since August 2025, Cristian Ponder has been an artist at the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre.
