The Mariinsky Orchestra will present two major symphonic works by Gustav Mahler in Vladivostok in the year of the composer’s 165th birthday, under the baton of maestro Valery Gergiev. Mahler’s First and Seventh Symphonies will be performed for the first time on the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre in a concert to take place on October 11, 2025
The October playbill of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre has opened with the first premiere of the season – the colorful, joyful family ballet La fille mal gardée, revised by Oleg Vinogradov, People’s Artist of the USSR. The legendary choreographer has presented this comedy ballet in classical choreography, replete with graceful combinations, spins, jumps, and even acrobatic elements. The virtuoso performances and acting skills of the company’s dancers have earned the most enthusiastic reviews from the audience and a standing ovation. The next performances of the ballet will take place on November 8 and December 6, 2025
