In February the Vladivostok audience will have an opportunity to see soloists of the Saint Petersburg Mariinsky Theatre, dancing title roles in ballet performances at the Primorsky Stage.
On February 23 and February 27, 2022 Yekaterina Chebykina, a prizewinner at international competitions, will perform the leading role of Nikia in La Bayadère. Graduated from the Kiev Dance School in 2011, she was invited as a ballet soloist by the National Opera of Ukraine. When Yekaterina Chebykina was 19, she performed the role of Gamzatti in La Bayadère choreographed by the legendary ballerina Natalia Makarova who had treasured the young dancer's talent. In 2013 Yekaterina Chebykina joined the ballet company of the Mariinsky Theatre where she performs leading roles in classic and contemporary ballets.
Renata Shakirova, a winner of Rossiya-Kultura TV’s project Grand Ballet, is another favorite with ballet lovers. She charmed the Primorsky Stage audience, having performed the main roles in Don Quixote, Cinderella and The Sleeping Beauty. She also appeared as Scheherezade in first performances of A Thousand and One Nights. On February 22 and February 23, 2022 Renata Shakirova will make her debut as Gamzatti in La Bayadère at the Primorsky Stage. On February 25, 2022 the audience will see her performing the role of Medora in Le Corsaire.
On February 23 and February 27, 2022 Victor Caixeta, Brazil, one of the most promising young dancers of the Saint Petersburg ballet company, will perform the role of Solor in La Bayadère. Victor Caixeta has graduated from the Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin. In 2017 he became a prizewinner at the international competitions “European Ballet Grand Prix” in Vienna and “Tanzolymp” in Berlin. After his bright appearance at the International Competition of Ballet Dancers and Choreographers in Moscow the same year, Victor Caixeta was engaged by the Mariinsky Theatre. The Primorsky Stage audience first saw him dancing in the premiere performances of La Bayadère in May 2021 when the debutant Victor Caixeta was a great success as Solor.
