Nazhmiddin Mavlyanov Successfully Takes Part in Don Carlo and The Queen of Spades at the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre

Nazhmiddin Mavlyanov is a guest soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre and the Bolshoi Theatre and a lead soloist of the Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre. The artist has already appeared at the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Thatre, continually taking part in the International Mariinsky Far East Festival in Vladivostok.

On February 11 the soloist sung the primary arias in Don Carlo staged by Yuri Aleksandrov, Peoples’ Artist of Russia and a prizewinner at the Gold Mask Competition and the Gold Sofit Competition. His companions of the stage were lead soloists of the Primosrsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre such as Vyacheslav Vasilyev as Rodrigo, Yevgeny Plekhanov as Philipp II, Elena Razgulyaeva as Elisabeth of Valois, Tatiana Makarchuk as the Princess Eboli, and Analoly Badayev as the Grand Inquisitor. The orchestra was under the baton of Pavel Smelkov, a Principal Conductor of the Primorsky Stage.

On February 14 Nazhmiddin Mavlyanov performed Herman’s party in The Queen of Spades. Irina Kolodyazhnaya sung the Countess’ aria. There was a heavy round of applause including such companions as Liliya Kadnikova as Liza, Vyacheslav Vasilyev as the Prince Yeletsky, Marat Mukhamedzyanov as the Count Tomsky, and Laura Bustamante as Polina. The orchestra was under the baton of Pavel Smelkov, a Principal Conductor of the Primorsky Stage.
