About the Concert

In the New Year’s bustle, the box with magic confetti, which permit to fulfill any desire, is wrongly delivered to a small antique shop. The shopkeeper is to sell the unusual goods to numerous customers and, at the same time, come upon the right answer to the following questions: What does one need to make his dreams come true? Is magic actually necessary to fulfill devout wishes? Or each of us is rather a Magician, and we just need to have perfect confidence in our capabilities and our dreams? The five episodes – the five stories about dreams, about love and jealousy, about friendship and belief in miracles, which are combined with well-known vocal and instrumental pieces, popular film songs, and famous arias from operas and operettas – will be performed by opera soloists and the Mariinsky Orchestra of the Primorsky Stage to give you a festive mood!
