Lev Ponomarev was born in Perm. In 2021 he graduated from the Perm State Choreographic School (class of Yury Mikhailovich Sidorov).
In 2015, 2016, 2019 and 2020 he was a permanent participant in the creative sessions at the Sirius Educational Center.
Since June 2021, Lev Ponomarev has been an artist of the Ballet Company of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre.
