The world-renowned opera bass Ildar Abdrazakov will twice appear at the Primosrky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre at the beginning of September. The events, which he will take part in, are a part of the cultural program of the VII Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
On September 7, 2022 at 18:00, Ildar Abdrazakov will perform one of his great roles – the title part in the Modest Musorgsky’s legendary opera Boris Godunov. The Primorsky Stage will present its scenic version based on Andrey Tarkovsky’s production. The Mariinsky Orchestra of the Primorsky Stage will be conducted by Valery Gergiev.
On September 7, 2022 at 21:30, Ildar Abdrazakov will give his solo concert. He will perform famous arias from operas by Russian and foreign composers. The singer will be accompanied by the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Valery Gergiev.
Ildar Abdrazakov is the Honored Artist of Russia, a recipient of two GRAMMY awards, Russia’s Golden Mask National Theatre Award, and Casta Diva Award. At the age of twenty-five, in 2001 Ildar Abdrazakov made his debut at the Teatro alla Scala, since which time he has sung at the world’s greatest venues, among them the Mariinsky Theatre, the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, the Metropolitan Opera, the Opéra national de Paris, the Vienna State Opera, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Madrid’s Teatro Real, the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, to mention a few. He makes regular appearances at the Salzburg Festival. In the spring of 2017, the singer concluded an exclusive recording contract with the oldest record label Deutsche Grammophon. His nearest engagements include the opening of the new season at the Teatro alla Scala in December 2022, where Ildar Abdrazakov will perform the role of Boris Godunov in Musorgsky’s opera Boris Godunov.
