Alena Diyanova made her Mariinsky-2 debut in St Petersburg

On 28 November, the Primorsky Stage Opera soloist Alena Diyanova made a successful Mariinsky Theatre debut in St Petersburg. She brilliantly performed the part of Senta in Richard Wagner’s Der fliegende Holländer on stage of the Mariinsky-2 where she was partnered by Yevgeny Nikitin, Sergei Skorokhodov and Mikhail Petrenko. Conductor — Michael Guettler.

A graduate of the Nizhny Novgorod Conservatory, Alena Diyanova is an owner of a powerful and beautiful voice, excellent vocal technique, which allows her to perform most diverse operatic parts. Her repertoire includes both lyrical and dramatic roles: Tatiana in Eugene Onegin, Violetta Valery in La traviata, Oxana in Christmas Eve, Floria Tosca in Tosca, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Lisa in The Queen of Spades.

In 2016 and 2017, the artist participated in the International Mariinsky Far East Festival where she won acclaim by international critics. This October, she made a successful debut in Der fliegende Holländer at the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre, having prepared the part of Senta with leading concert masters and coaches of the Mariinsky Theatre.
